After 15 years of creation and development, Grimaud Vietnam (GVN) is one of the main suppliers of Pekin duckin Vietnam.
Not only is Pekin duck common in the country, but Muscovy duck is also very popular with the Vietnamese, although it hasn’t yet received much attention!
Due to poor breeding and outdated techniques, producers and farmers are unable to generate a good income, while demand for the delicious taste of its meat is very high!
To respond to this high-potential market trend, GVN has decided to use its top-quality duck genetics – Muscovy R71 for the northern market and R41 for the southern market. The aim is to provide a complete service, from genetics to technology, breeding and biosecurity, to help farmers develop their previously unsuccessful Muscovy duck production business. In addition, we could provide the market with high-quality Muscovy duck meat, with a lower production cost, in order to sell it at a lower price and increase consumption.
On June 27, 2024, in the province of Thai Nguyen, the launch of this project was organized, with the participation of Grimaud Frères partners, distributors in Asia as well as 200 partners and customers of Grimaud Vietnam, including the presence of more than 20 leaders of the largest agricultural companies in northern Vietnam. Together, we hope to open a new door for the success of the muscovy trade in the country
