As mentioned above, Grimaud Freres has been very proud to announce the relaunch of our PS Pekin deliveries for our historical customer Plemreproduktor Zelenchukskii following the avian flu outbreak that struck his farm in September 2020.

The situation was quite complicated and the new flock was long awaited in Zelenchukskii’s duck farm.

Our delivery took place with a rather unusual and rarely known change of situation: the plane of the flight Paris – Moscow experienced technical problems and had to return to Roissy – Paris.

Moreover, despite 52 hours of transportation between our hatchery and our customer’s farm, we only deploy 2.5% mortality, which once again demonstrates the quality of our ducklings and our professionalism in preparing such shipments.

Grimaud Freres will continue accompanying his customer, all along the production period with regular visits as well as through technical data exchange on regular basis in order to obtain the best technical performances.

Our new brand on global communication tools

After a first breeder placement in 2020, Green Valley Limited company imported a new breeder STAR 53 Pekin duck flock at the beginning of this year.

Green Valley is a company belonging to Eclosia Groupe, the leader company in Mauritius for poultry production. The Eclosia Groupe is having also many other activities in food production, hotels & Leisure, logistics or education in the island.

Ms Sharone Ng, Manager of the Green Valley activity, and her team, decide to work with Grimaud Freres ducks thanks to its well-known duck genetic, associated with its capacity and reactivity in supplying the breeder birds to any destination.

Grimaud Freres is proud to work with the leader duck producer in Mauritius. We are satisfied with Green Valley concluding with success the second breeder placement. This confirms the good quality of birds and good performances of the STAR 53 ducks.

Both parties intend to continue this collaboration for a very long term, for the best promotion of good duck meat to the local consumers and to the numerous visitors of the very nice Mauritius Island.

No doubt that the STAR 53 ducks will also appreciate the nice local conditions in Mauritius!

At the very end of 2020 and the very beginning of 2021, there were 2 very important placements for Grimaud Freres company to deliver in Vietnam, and both deliveries were successful.

After a very long term collaboration for Grimaud Frères with the 2 Institutes based near Hanoi Capital in Vietnam, new placements of Grand-Parent Stock ducks were planned with Thuy Phuong Poultry Centre at first, and then at Dai Xuyen Duck Breeding and Research Center. With the reduction of flights, the shipments were not simple to organize, but birds were finally delivered successfully in both Institutes.

Grimaud Frères is very proud to always develop its collaborations with the Governmental Institutes and to diffuse its genetic in Vietnam with these research Centers for the promotion and the availability of good duck breeds for the local farmers in the country. The Grimaud breed are the most famous and appreciated ducks in Vietnam and Grimaud Frères is glad to share this success with both Thuy Phuong and Dai Xuyen Institutes who participated in this success.

The Asia Pacific Company (APC), representative of Grimaud Frères in Vietnam, is also contributing to this success with their presence close the Directors and managers of the Institutes at all time.

Grimaud Freres is happy to announce the renewal of the commercial relation with Villa Germania. Grimaud Freres has been collaborating with Villa Germania for 20 years.

Due to the limited local duck market in Brazil and after facing some difficulties on duck meat exports, Villa Germania found internal resources to adapt its capacities and to rebound their business. Therefore, Grimaud and Villa Germania have relaunched their cooperation through the placement of breeder STAR53 ducks in Villa Germania facilities.
Thanks to all sanitary controls and farms and hatchery official sanitary agreements of its facilities, and after a long and very complete process, Grimaud Freres has been able
to complete all requirements and procedures for being able to export its breeders to Brasil.
We wish great success of Villa Germania in the actual situation not so easy with COVID 19. Grimaud Freres is following up the technical performances of Grimaud
STAR53 ducks thanks to the help of Sophie Evesque, Export Technician. For now, the ducks are doing well and started laying few weeks ago.
Below the delivery of STAR53 Pekin ducks breeder at Guarulhos airport in Sao Paulo – Brazil.

Following the negative effect of ASF in 2019, as in other countries, Vietnam had developed too quick and too
much the poultry production which created problems of over supply of its products in the entire the country.

In combination with the Covid 19, appearing hard environment of high temperature which had never happened in the last
64 years to put the poultry farmers in a critical condition – crisis of very low market price, diseases coming from hard environment and Covid19 effects. The only way to overcome these difficulties is to restructure the animal husbandry. Industrial productions have to pay more and more attention on the three keys factors: genetics, feed and the rearing technologies.
To meet this urgent demand of high quality duck genetics, Grimaud Vietnam upgraded its STAR 53 to improve from 150 to 300 grams of body weight to help farmers to reach the slaughtered size in Summer. In addition, we apply high technology in hatchery to produce the 100% clean and free diseases ducklings in our first industrial hatchery in Dong Nai as well as from a second Grimaud Vietnam new hatchery in Ha Noi.
After the floating season in the Center, Grimaud’s third hatchery in Da Nang will be created within end of this year. Thanks to this facility, farmers in this region will have the opportunity to be supplied with the “local” high quality duck genetics STAR 53 which never happen in the history.
